Giving & Volunteering
Since its establishment over 22 years ago, every patient, relative and friend connected with the Temple Bone Marrow Transplant Program has made an impact. We are proud to have served each and every one.
Many have expressed their wishes to contribute to our ongoing work and give back to the Temple Bone Marrow Transplant Program. We welcome support in all forms, and have arranged ways for people to financially participate in the continuous growth of our program. We have two funds that underwrite the extra efforts we make as a group to enhance the patient experience here and to advance treatment options for patients with hematologic malignancies beyond our practice.
The Temple BMT Patient Care Fund is used to relieve some of the financial burden many of our patients and their families experience during their transplant treatment course. Gifts to this particular fund will be used to immediately defray the costs of transportation, travel, lodging and even medications during this complicated period. Patients, families and friends know better than most the stressful toll a transplant treatment course can have on all facets of life.
The Temple BMT Gift Fund is used to broaden the impact our physicians can have on the treatment and care of bone marrow transplant patients both here in our program and beyond. Donations to this specific fund can underwrite the costs of staff education and development, such as conference attendance and continuing medical education in order to stay aware of the latest and most advanced treatment options available to their current and prospective patients. This fund also supports our physicians' research and program development efforts, which can help advance the care of all bone marrow transplant patients now and in the future.
Gifts of any amount make a significant difference to patients and their loved ones and make a bold statement of appreciation for our mission of providing the most comprehensive and compassionate care for bone marrow transplant patients. If you choose to donate, please indicate the fund and the person you would like to honor on your check and send it to my attention at: Friends Hall Physicians Building, 7604 Central Avenue, Lower Level, Philadelphia, PA 19111-2442. We will notify your honoree of your gift, unless you indicate otherwise.
Thank you in advance for your generous support.
