Nicholas Nicolaou, M.D.

Dr. Nicolaou is an Associate Member of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center. He specializes in lymphomas and hematological malignancies and has also developed total body irradiation as part of the Fox Chase-Temple Bone Marrow Transplant Program.

He received his medical degree in 1984 from the University of Cape Town Medical School. He subsequently completed his medical internship in 1985 and a year of training in Internal Medicine in 1996 at affiliate hospitals of the University of Cape Town medical School. Dr. Nicolaou completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of British Columbia in 1994, followed by a Clinical Fellowship in Radiation Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center in 1995. He worked as a Radiation Oncologist at the British Columbia Cancer Agency during
1996, where he gained extensive experience in the treatment of a wide spectrum of malignant diseases including Lymphomas and Hematological Malignancies.

He rejoined Fox Chase Cancer Center in 1997. He is board certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology (U.S.), and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Canada). Dr. Nicolaou is a also a full member of ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncology), and ASTRO (American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology).
